Michelle Ge
Co-founder
President
Michelle Ge is a senior at Basis Independent Silicon Valley. She pursued tennis at a very young age and competes in many high-level national tournaments. She has reached top 10 in NorCal rankings for Girls 14 & Girls 16 and enjoys coaching little kids to spread the fun of this sport to others.
As the Co-founder and President, Michelle manages all activities and services to support low-income kids and families.
Katherine Yang
Co-founder
VP of Finance
Katherine Yang is a sophomore in the Kings Academy. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and making an impact, as demonstrated by advancing to the Diamond Challenge semifinals in 2025, and as a passionate Model UN delegate. She participates in both Debate team and Science Olympiad team at Miller for 3 years and has earned various awards in public forum debate competition and top medals in Codebuster, Write It Do It, Bio Process, A&P, Tower and Storm the Castle. In addition, she has been coding in C++ for 4 years. Katherine is also a talented artist who specializes in digital art, shading, and acrylic painting.
As the VP of Finance, Katherine manages budgeting, fundraising, expense tracking, financial reporting, and ensuring responsible allocation of funds to support the BFT's goals in headcounter and global charters.
Ava Chen
VP of Community Engagement
Ava Chen, a senior at Lynbrook High School, is a 4x AIME qualifier with a passion for competitive math since 4th grade. She enjoys sharing her passion by teaching younger students through bright Future Teens. Beyond math, she is interested in physics and likes working on science projects.
As the VP of Community Engagement, Ava plans and leads engaging activities for young children in temporary housing. she organizes volunteers, coordinates schedules and ensures activities run smoothly.
Wanze (Roger) Jin is a sennior at Valley Christian School. As the VP of Engineering & Programming, he is reponsible for managing BFT's engineering and programming courses. He is a USACO Gold Qualifier and has been involoved in various resaerch and engineering projects. using that knowldge to teach programming courses at BFT. Tennis has also been a lifelong passion for Roger. he has competed in high level tournaments for many years and currently serves as the head coach of BFT's tennis program
Evan Liu
VP of Operations
Evan Liu is a senior at Lynbrook High School. He has been participating in speech and debate since the 4th grade. He has experience competing in public forum, and has been on the Miller debate team for three years. He is very passionate about debate and would love to share it with more people!
As the VP of Operations, Evan manages the communication between volunteers and other organizations. He also helps coordinate volunteer class held every season.

Franklin Yang is a 2025 graduate from Lynbrook High School in San Jose, CA, with a passion for STEM research, especially electrical engineering, renewable energy, and optoelectronics. He has competed in the Miller Science Olympiad teams for 3 years and Lynbrook Science Olympiad team for 4 years. He has won 40+ top medals in events at regional, state and national invitational tournaments. Some examples of the events: Anatomy & Physiology, Circuit Lab, Codebuster, Density Lab, Dynamic Planet, Heredity, Ping-Pong Parachute, and Water Quality. He is also a team member of Lynbrook Science Bowl. Franklin is USABO semifinalist, AIME qualifier and USACO Silver Qualifier.
He is also a national awards winner in FBLA, and a dedicated violist in multiple CA youth orchestras. In his free time, he loves coding, playing board games like Settlers of Catan, or gaming on Minecraft.
As the Founder and Former President of BFT, Franklin was deeply involved in community service by growing the BFT into 5 chapters globally, which supports kids and families in education and service.
